We removed our coffee table for safety/space reasons months ago, and I have been going batty without a place to rest my drink. Yesterday at Ikea we picked up 2 baby-proofed side tables -- nightstands, actually -- along with 2 red childproof table lamps.
Unfortunately the lamps look really red when they are on. I don't know why I was so surprised.
Urban apartment or gubernatorial bordello? Only time will tell.
