Lanterns

Since we moved in last November, we've been searching for an inexpensive, colorful, and lightweight decoration to go above our sofa.


This afternoon at Pearl River we found a clearance bin of giant Chinese paper lanterns. At around $3 each, they were perfect for our project.


I was so worried that PP would fall, but he has excellent balance.


Here's the final effect, though the lanterns (not to mention the room) look a lot bigger in person.
