When I was small, I visited the Empire State Building with my family and thought it was the grandest building I'd ever seen. Plus, it was my understanding that a monkey used to hang out there. And what kid doesn't like monkeys?Tonight, in honor of my graduating class, the Empire State Building is lit Fighting-Violets purple. If you are around, check it out -- unfortunately I was already uptown for the night when I heard about it, so I'll have to settle for photos.
