Queens logic

Today PP had off from work for President's Day. PP's parents had offered to watch TH for a few hours while we borrowed the car to visit the new Trader Joe's in Queens.


The day dawned warm and windy. Unfortunately, Grandma PP woke up too sick to visit. TH is such a handful these days that he's too much for a single sitter. So Grandpa PP drove us to Rego Park.


Trader Joe's shopping carts are fitted with clean bouncy seats. Brilliant!


TH wouldn't let go of this juice-filled plastic lemon during our visit. On our way home we picked up a sack of empanadas. Mmmmm.


We also stopped at the Sports Authority next door to Trader Joe's and bought thick foam gym mats for the Hen Pen. We moved it to the dining area, reclaimed the rug we'd been using as padding, and moved the dining set into our bedroom (where we usually eat dinner after TH goes to sleep).


Of course, these days TH also spends a lot of time out of the Pen, albeit with plenty of adult supervision. (He now likes to hide under his toys, such as the Jumperoo.)
