Chillin' and grillin'

Summertime!

We're in the middle of a long heat wave, but TH has plenty to do outside: our shady yard now has sprinklers, a water table, and a climber slide. Of course, TH is most fascinated with our new grill, which we've surrounded with the old Hen Pen for protection.


Ah, the grill. My parents brought it in 2 weekends ago, and as decade-long New Yorkers, PP and I have never had one of our own. Now we use it as often as we can, for everything from hamburgers and chicken to eggplant and corn on the cob.

Yesterday we visited a farmer's market and picked up Jersey corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sourdough bread. We added some grilled Sabrett hot dogs and had an amazing local-grown meal.
